The latest TATU TKD newsletter is officially available, and it is packed with all the important dates, upcoming events, and club activities you need to know about as we head into another busy month.
From specialized squad training sessions and high-level technical seminars to major summer competitions, we have consolidated everything into one convenient place so our students and families can stay ahead of the calendar.
Summer is the ultimate time to accelerate your martial arts journey. While routine school schedules slow down, our dojang remains a hub of high-energy training, discipline, and personal development. Let’s keep the momentum going, stay focused on our personal development goals, and make July another incredibly strong month on the mats!
Staying Ahead of the Summer Calendar
With so many exciting milestones happening across our Wokingham and Finchampstead training venues, we want to make it as simple as possible for parents and students to plan ahead. Keeping consistent with your training throughout the warmer months ensures that technical skills remain sharp and physical fitness levels never drop.
This month’s newsletter highlights several key pillars designed to help our students level up:
Instructor Safeguarding Upgrades: A behind-the-scenes look at how our coaching team continuously updates their qualifications to maintain our strict BMABA Gold Standard safety status.
Upcoming Graduation Tracks: Essential schedule maps and strict registration deadlines for our highly anticipated July belt gradings.
Why Continuous Training Matters During the Summer Holidays
It can be tempting to treat the summer months as a time to step away from extracurricular routines, but continuing with kids martial arts activities in Wokingham provides a massive advantage for young minds and bodies.
When children maintain their martial arts practice over the summer, they return to school in September with higher levels of focus, better physical coordination, and unshakeable self-confidence. Our structured classes bridge the gap between school terms, giving kids a positive, high-energy outlet to channel their energy productively.
A Quick Snapshot of July Milestones
To give you a brief overview of what to expect over the next few weeks, here are the major calendar touchpoints you will find detailed in the full newsletter download:
Our team is dedicated to elite-tier class governance. This month features mandatory advanced safeguarding progression for our entire instructor and assistant instructor team, reinforcing our commitment to transparent, safe martial arts.
Following our incredible 28-medal haul across the Welsh Open and AETA League, our tournament squad is continuing to fine-tune their ring craft for upcoming summer circuits.
Graduation dates are set for Tuesday, 14th July (Finchampstead Venue - FBC) and Saturday, 18th July (Wokingham Venue - St Cecilia's). Be sure to check the specific registration cutoff dates to lock in your child’s floor time!
The TATU Mindset: Consistency is the bridge between goals and accomplishment. Every single class you attend during the summer breaks sets you miles ahead of the competition and builds habits that last a lifetime.
